Subject: Don't ban GMO
My experience in talking to those opposed to GMO crops are that the majority of those people know very little
about the subject. Their claims that Genetically modified plants are harmful to consume or feed to livestock are
not backed by evidence or science, but are only anecdotal. I have a Bachelors and Masters in Horticultural
Science from UH Manoa and I make my living farming. You don't know what future benefits may be derived
from genetically modifying plants, but you are willing eliminate our access to them now. To prevent my ability to
farm the best of what our Universities are developing is not right, it is not fair, and it isn't in the best interest of
the people of the state of Hawaii. Please remember:
"The ignorant scream the loudest."
