Dear Councilmembers,
I am a resident of Kalaheo, Hawaii and oppose Bill 109 and Bill 113. I have a Bachelor of Science degree
in Agricultural Science from Penn State University and believe that using biotechnology in agriculture is
safe and needed to continue to grow our yeilds to feed an estimated 9.5 billion people on this planet in
2050. Farmers should have the right to choose which technologies they will use on their own
farms. GMO and organic agriculture can coexist so please oppose bills 109 and 113.
