I have been following the information on GMO for some time now, and cannot understand the behavior of our elected officials concerning the safety of our food. There are 3 states that have approved the labeling of GMO, because they understand the need to do so. There are adults and children on Kauai being harmed by the companies that use pesticides who are experimenting on our land for their gain. I listened to a lecture given by a MIT professor citing the dangers of pesticides and GMO autism, diabetes, asthma, obesity, etc and our bees and butterflies are dying. Isn't it common sense that when we put poisons in our body, and our lands, we will have problems? That our planet will suffer? Isn't it common sense that when we put food in our bodies that goes against nature, we will have problems? Why is it that the labeling of food to know what we are putting in our bodies have become such an issue? As elected officials, you have the responsibility to care for our well being. This is just common sense. Clear and simple. Why jeopardize our people, our lands, our planet? O r--) Please, no poisons, no GMO. Lets label our food.
