REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON PLANNING <br /> REGARDING: Communication No. 411/Bill No. 122 <br /> DATE: October 1, 2013 <br /> LOCATION: Council Chambers, Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TITLE: An Ordinance amending Section 25-8-33 (City of Hilo Zone Map), <br /> Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning Code) of the Hawai`i County Code <br /> 1983 (2005 Edition), by changing the district classification from <br /> Agricultural—one acre (A-la) and Single-Family Residential— <br /> 10,000 square feet(RS-10) to University (UNV), and the deletion <br /> of the proposed 80-foot right-of-way connecting Komohana Street <br /> and Kumukoa Street, at Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawai`i, covered by <br /> Tax Map Keys 2-4-001:005, Portion of 007, 041, 162, 163, 167 <br /> and 2-4-056:017. <br /> EXPLANATION: The area covers approximately 312 square feet. Bill 122 is initiated <br /> by the Planning Director. The primary purpose of this change of <br /> zone request is to align the zoning designation of the subject area <br /> with its University Use designation in the Hawai`i County General <br /> Plan. The Windward Planning Commission forwards a favorable <br /> recommendation. <br /> AMENDMENTS: Comm.
