SUBJECT: LIMTI'ED SCOPE PERF CE REVIEW
GLASS RECYCLING AND DIVERSION PROGRAM
Thank you for the opportunity to review the preliminary draft of the subject program
review. Our initial comments aze that we concur with the findings of the report regarding
the need for improved management of the program. We would like to verify some of the
quantities that aze being questioned in the report. Until we have confirmed these
quantities and have developed better procedures to correct the identified shortcomings,
we aze temporarily suspending awards for any new glass recycling contracts this quartet.
We will be available to respond to questions from Councilmembers at the upcoming
