RESOLUTION NO. 198 13
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) FOR THE PURCHASE OF FOUR(4) WIRELESS
MERAKI BOXES FOR THE TOWN OF HONOKA`A.
WHEREAS, the town of Honoka`a lacks sufficient wireless internet access connection;
and
WHEREAS, with this wireless internet access connection comes increased access to the
community, county, state, country and the world for our residents and visitors, and
WHEREAS, the town of Honoka`a will be the receipient of free wireless internet access
with the low-cost addition of four(4) Meraki boxes to work in conjunction with businesses that
volunteer their buildings as sites to mount access points; and
WHEREAS, the Honoka`a Business Association has agreed to manage and maintain this
wireless project; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Information Technology to be used towards the purchase of four (4) Meraki
boxes; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Information Technology and to the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
