Re: Discussion Regarding the Selection Process for the Legislative Auditor Position
Pursuant to Section 92-5(a)(2), Hawai'i Revised Statutes, as amended, I request that the Council
hold an executive meeting to consider the hire of an officer or employee.
The purpose of this executive session is to discuss the procedures, time frame, and criteria for
selection of the new Legislative Auditor. We expect to discuss with the Corporation Counsel
personnel matters directly related to the Council's powers, duties, privileges, immunities and
liabilities. I humbly request that this matter be placed on the November 6, 2013, Council meeting
agenda.
