RESOLUTION NO. 216 13
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR TOBACCO-FREE GROUNDS SIGNS.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 08-56, effective April 22, 2008, prohibits the use of tobacco
products at all County parks, beaches and recreational facilities; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation plans to erect signs at County
parks, beaches and recreational facilities to educate the public about Ordinance No. 08-56; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to
the Department of Parks and Recreation for the purchase and posting of signs; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
