Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
No . 1825 , reports as follows :
Communication No . 182-5 is a request from Mr . Khanh Nguyen, owner of
Mekong Store , requesting approval to hold a sidewalk sale of
Christmas trees and flowers at 60 Ponahawai Street from December 15,
1988 to December 30 , 1988 .
Section 22-20 of the Hawaii County Code 1983 requires that a person
who sells any good, wares or merchandise on any sidewalk within the
city limits of Hilo first obtain a permit form the County Council .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends that the Council grant the
permit for the sidewalk sale to Mr . Kh‘nh_ Nguyen .
