Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
-No . 1676 , reports as follows:
Communication No . 1676 is a letter from Bill Sewake, Manager ,
Department of Water Supply requesting authorization to quit claim a
pump site, chlorinator site and the corresponding easements . The
Manager explains that the Department is in the process of acquiring
additional sites and waterline easements in the parcel of land in
which the Puna Sugar Mill is located . The owner requested that the
County quitclaim the existing sites and easements prior to their
conveying the sites and easements requested by the Department because
they overlap each other . The parcel of land is in the process of
being sold and the owner wishes to convey the sites and easements
prior to finalization of the sale.
Your Committee on Public Works concurs with the request from the
Department of Water Supply and recommends tha -" the Council authorize
the Mayor to use his discreti to quit clai ' the two sites and their
respective easements .
