Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
/No . 1553 , reports as follows:
Communication No . 1553 is a transmittal letter from the Corporation
Counsel which forwards for acceptance the road dedication deed for a
roadway parcel within Ala Kai Heights , Unit 1-B Subdivision, Waiakea,
South Hilo, Hawaii TMK: 2-4-68-105 .
The Department of Public Works has advised that the descriptions have
been checked and found to be acceptable and that the improvements
have been constructed according to County of Hawaii standards and are
acceptable for dedication.
Your Committee on April 12 , 1988 deferred action on the dedication
deed pending additional information on drainage .
Your Committee considered the dedication deed again on April 26 ,
1988 . The Chairwoman thinks that concerns about drainage had been
resolved and that present problems in the planting strip were minor
and would be alleviated by the planting of vegetation in the strips
and/or on the lots .
Your Committee finds that both the conveyance of the road and the
improvements are proper and recommends acceptance of the dedication
deed by the Council and its subsequent recordation with the Bureau of
Conveyances .
