Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Resolution
/No. 413-88, reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 413-88 is to commend the North and
South Kohala District Road Crew of the Department of Public Works for
its accomplishment and requests the Chief Engineer to encourage all
district road crews to work toward more understanding, better
cooperation and more effective public service by holding monthly
meetings .
Your Committee finds that the North and South Kohala Road Crew holds
regular, monthly potlucks followed by meetings to share information,
air gripes and solve problems . Your Committee further finds that the
monthly meetings have been instrumental in forming close and
cooperative working relationships between the employees and that the
North and South Kohala Road Crew 's example of harmony and
productivity could provide a model of operation for other district
road crews .
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No. 413-88 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
