Dear Chairman Yoshimoto:
RE: Request for Executive Session for Res. 202-13 Authorizing the Payment of Funds
in Future Fiscal Years on a Multi-Year Contract for an Independent Auditor(s) to
Perform the Annual Audit of the Accounts and Other Evidence of Financial
Transactions of the County and of Every County Agency and Executive Agency
and to discuss the evaluation committee recommendation regarding Request for
Proposal No. 2964 To Conduct Audits of The Accounts and Other Evidences of
Financial Transactions of the County of Hawai
This letter serves to request an executive session to discuss the evaluation committee's
recommendation for Request for Proposal No. 2964 as outlined above and in Resolution 202-13.
We ask that this request be placed on the Council's November 20, 2013 agenda
(Resolution 202-13 was postponed from the November 6, 2013 meeting to the November 20,
2013 meeting).
This request is made pursuant to Hawai`i Revised Statutes ("HRS") § 92-5(a)(8): to
deliberate or make a decision upon a matter that requires the consideration of information that
must be kept confidential pursuant to a state law, (including but not limited to Chapter 103D-
303(d) and Hawai`i Administrative Rules 3-122-53(f), and 3-122-58); and HRS § 92-5(a)(4): to
consult with the board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the board's powers,
duties, privileges, immunities and liabilities.
