RESOLUTION NO. 221 13
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE RESURFACING OF KALANIAI ROAD IN
KALOPA.
WHEREAS, Kalaniai Road in Kalopa is a County-paved road that is used by the general
public; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works, Highway Maintenance Division, needs
to resurface Kalaniai Road due to damages caused by years of deterioration; and
WHEREAS, materials need to be purchased for the resurfacing of Kalaniai Road in
order to improve the safety and welfare of the general public; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to
the Department of Public Works for the purchase of materials to resurface Kalaniai Road in
Kalopa; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:
FUND: GENERAL
AMOUNT OF
APPROPRIATION: $20,000
OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $20,000
CREDITED TO:
010.801.5801.38 Department of Public Works $20,000
Transfer to Highway Fund
(N Hilo/Hamakua OCE, Highway Materials -
Kalaniai Road Resurfacing)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Public Works and Director of Finance and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
