Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
No . 1277 , reports as follows:
'Communication No . 1277 from Mayor Dante K. Carpenter , submits for
Council review and confirmation , the appointment of Mr . Larry I .
Tanimoto to the Veterans Advisory Committee . Mr . Tanimoto, President
of Club 100 , is being appointed as a replacement for Mr . Lawrence
Hirokawa . Mr . Hirokawa is unable to represent his organization for
reasons of health . Mr . Tanimoto appointment is for a term which will
end on December 31, 1990 .
Your Committee has reviewed the appointment and finds that the
nomination of Mr . Tanimoto to be in accordance with the provisions of
Ordinance 86-123 .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends that the Council of the
County of Hawaii confirm the appointment to the Veterans Advisory
Committee of Mr . Larry I . Tanimoto represen ing Club 100 for a term
expiring December 31 , 1990 .
