your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
'No . 1217 , reports as follows:
Communication No . 1217 from Mayor Dante K. Carpenter , submits for
Council review and confirmation , the appointment of Mr . Richard E.
Speed of Puna as the Veterans of Foreign Wars Representative to the
Veterans Advisory Committee for a term ending December 31 , 1991 .
Your Committee has reviewed the appointment and finds that the
nomination is in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance 86-123
and recommends that the Council of the County of Hawaii confirm the
appointment to the Veterans Advisory Committee of Mr . Richard Speed
representing the Veterans of Foreign Wars for a term expiring
December 31 , 1991 . s
