Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
No . 1061 .2 and its attached Bill No. 385 , reports as follows :
Bill 385 proposes to establish a no parking at anytime zone on
Keaa Street in South Hilo . The no parking zone will improve the
visibility and sight distances for emergency vehicles entering
Keaa Street from the Waiakea Fire Station. Chapter 24, Article 10 ,
Section 24-280 of the Hawaii County Code of 1983 is being amended for
this purpose .
Your Committee on Public Works has reviewed Bill 385 and is in accord
with its intent and purpose. Your Committee did , however , note a
technical shortcoming in Bill 358 and has amended it by inserting the
words "subsection (c ) " between the phrases "schedule 28 (no parking
at any time ) , " and "of the Hawaii County Code 1983" in Section 1 of
the Bill . The amendment is reflected in Bill 385 Draft 2 .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends passage of Bill No . 385,
