Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 193-13, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 193-13, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 473
dated October 17, 2013, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease for a multifunction color copier for the Department of Liquor Control
in Hilo.
The five-year lease will authorize the Mayor to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a multifunction
color copier at a cost of approximately $450 per month.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawai`i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be
made or approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 193-13, and
recommends its adoption.
