Subject: Notification of certificate presentation at the scheduled November 20`h,
2013 Council Meeting.
This is to inform you that I will be presenting two certificates on the scheduled November 20th,
2013 Council meeting. I will be awarding two commendations to two individuals, Gregory
"Bonga"Perkins & Craig"Ina"Ynigues, who saved the life of another.
This presentation should not take more than 10 minutes in the beginning of the Council meeting.

On September 30`h,2013 You Were At Kamakahonu Beach When You Heard A Shout For Help.
A Visitor Snorkeling With Her Husband Was In Distress.
Without Hesitation, You Rushed Into The Water To Assist.By The Time You Got To Her,She
Was Blue And Unresponsive. You Put Her On A Paddleboard And Brought Her Into Shore
Where Bonga Perkins Immediately Started CPR.Another Visitor Who Was An Off Duty
Paramedic Heard The Commotion And Rushed Over To Help,And Did The Compressions While
Bonga Perkins Blew Air Into The Unresponsive Swimmers Air Passage.Due To The Quick
Response,Actions And Team Effort, The Distressed Swimmer Was Resuscitated
Your Actions And Compassion Truly Restores Our Faith In The Human Race And You
Are Commended For Your Quick Response To Saving Another Person's Life And
Preventing Fatal Injury In Unexpected Circumstances.
On Behalf Of The Hawai'i Island Community, We Wish To Extend A
Heartfelt Mahalo A Nui Loa For Your Unselfish And Extraordinary Act( Heroism.
