Subject: Aloha! Written Testimony in Support of Banning GMOs
I understand that farmer's may have invested in GMO products or receive financial support for growing
GMOs, but in my experience and research, GMOs are more harmful than helpful and have moved
Hawaiians away from Natural Farming Methods.
More and more examples are coming forward of small farms producing more than factory, GMO
supported farms.
Look up PolyFace Farms with Joel Salatin or the guy in Los Angeles who produces 1 million pounds of
food on 3 acres.
I'd be very careful how you vote on this issue, because it really shows allegiance to the old paradigm,
which doesn't work and is being supported by a financial system crumbling or supporting self
sufficiency and new solutions.
If you need to, allocate some funds to help GMO Farmers to transition to alternative methods.
