Aloha honorable council members,
I am writing to you from the island of Kaua'i where we are the experimental GE test capital of
the U.S.
18 tons of Restricted Use Pesticides annually being sprayed on us. The chemical cartel is
fighting 500 ft buffer zones around schools and hospitals. They are pulling every trick in the
book not to have to disclose what they are growing and spraying here.
You have a opportunity to put a stop to that ever happening on the island of Hawaii. I implore
you to act now as Kaua'i has learned that the state is planning to push for legislation at the end
of this month to take away county rights to make laws regarding GMO, pesticides and ag
lands.
