Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Resolution
'No. 322-87, reports as follows :
The purpose of Resolution No . 322-87 is to request the administration
to develop and evaluate alternatives for the cleaning and/or
replenishment of sand at the Spencer Beach Park at Kawaihae ; and to
further report their findings to the County Council in time for
consideration of the FY 1988-89 Operating Budget .
Your Committee has received testimony on the need to clean the sand
at Spencer Beach Park . Your Committee has been made aware that this
concern is a long standing one which needs to be readdressed.
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No. 322-87 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
