Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Resolution
'No. 320-87 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No. 320-87 is to authorize and approve a
10 year lease of Tax Map Key 8-3-04 :11 Ke 'ei South Kona, Hawaii from
Estate of Bernice Pauahi Bishop for use and continued operation of
the Napoopoo Transfer Station .
Your Committee finds that section 10-11 , the Hawaii County Charter
requires that any contract , lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from appropriations of later fiscal years or of more
than one fiscal year be approved by resolution of the Council . Your
Committee finds that the County 's Napoopoo Solid Waste Transfer
Station is presently located on TMK 8-3-04 :11 and that the present
lease has expired . Your Committee finds that the Department of
Public Works intends to continue operation of this facility and needs
to extend its lease of the property . Your committee finds that the
lease of the property for the next ten years to be $300 per annum.
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No. 320-87 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
