Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
'No . 1133 and its attached Bill No . 374 , reports as follows:
Bill 374 proposes to amend the Hawaii County Code 1983 relating to
Traffic Control Devices by adopting yellow as the only color to be
used for delineating the separation of traffic flows in opposite
direction . In addition, Bill 374 establishes the use of red curb
markings for no parking ones and yellow curb markings for loading
ones . Chapter 24 , Article 7 , Division 1 , Section 24-144 of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 is being amended to accomplish these purposes .
Your Committee on Public Works has reviewed Bill 374 and is in accord
with its purpose
Your Committee on Public Works recommends passage of Bill No . 374 on
first reading by the County Council .
