Council Members,
My name is Maureen McLaughlin. My residence is in Kamuela.
I am writing to request you vote in support of Bill 113, our best chance to limit open air GMO crops on
the Big Island.
It is my hope that you will address the issues relating to the existence of genetically modified corn and
papaya at a later date. I remain hopeful that you will protect the integrity of our food, our health, and
our future by voting to approve Bill 113 without allowing amendments designed to undermine its
purpose and intent.
