Dear Councilman Arakaki,
l am writing in support of the nomination of Mari klerkes to the Hawaii County Charter Review
Commission. Maori is President of the Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce and is the frontline
person as the advocate for small business and responsible development. Shc has worked
tirelessly for this community, both in hex chamber capacity and as a volunteer to community and
support groups not only in Kona but also over the entire island.
She is a levelheaded thinker who has a grasp of not only the local view but also how our island
community is part of the global community. She is sincere and caring for this island and it's
people. She deserves confirmation and 1 urge you to support her.
