If we go GMO

and lots of life will likely die -�
if Orchid Isle is Poisoned Isle
and Poisoned Isle turns to Dying Isle
with burden-of-proof lying hidden in pockets
of chemical-makers deftly driven PO _
where profit trumps peace and peaceful people
For sickness and death boost bottom line
and in time
a drowning boat takes all on-board
If we go GMO
go anti-life, pervasive pollution
there may be no way to turn it around
and Dying Isle is now Dead Isle
floating in greed's unquenchable hand
if we go GMO
But we are bigger and smarter than that
no crooked scheme can take us down
no wink and nod that's not from God
no closed-door offering or coercive posturing
could make us stoop to sell out life
and turn our backs on a fertile future
Human are we, creation's cousins
rising from toxic overload
bent on preserving our island's health
defending the name of Orchid Isle
forever may she bloom for all
un-poisoned, protected, undefiled
