Re: Fund Balance Notification for June 30, 2013
Pursuant to Hawaii County Code Section 2-12.4(e), I am providing notification that a
report on the fund balance for fiscal year ending June 30, 2013, will not be submitted to
the County Council by the October 15th deadline.
While the report will be submitted prior to November 15, 2013, it is not currently finalized.
Both our department and the departments we rely on for financial data have experienced
some unexpected absences and staff turnovers that delayed closing the books beyond
our anticipated schedule.
