Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred 'Resolution
No . 185-87 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 185-87 is to abandon and declare as a
remnant , a portion of the Lua-Kula Place in Waikoloa Village , South
Kohala, Hawaii which is no longer of use to the County of Hawaii as a
result of a change in configuration and the shortening of Lua-Kula
Place .
Your Committee finds that Mr . Henry Pascale has constructed and is
dedicating to the County of Hawaii a new segment of roadway which
will provide for an adequate turnaround area and allow the shortening
of Lua-Kula Place . The dedicated road parcel creates a road remnant
which is no longer of use to the County and can be disposed of in
accordance with the provisions of Section 24-118 of the Hawaii County
Code .
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No . 185-87 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
