Your Committee on Public Works , to which was referred Communication
/No . 1104 , reports as follows:
Communication No . 1104 from Parks and Recreation Director
Pat Engelhard, informs the Public Works Committee of a donation of
about $4,000 worth of chemicals and a traffic marking machine to the
County of Hawaii from Mr . Richard MacDonald of PCI Chem-Corp .
Your Committee has been advised that these chemicals are nearing
their manufacturer 's recommended shelf life and can no longer be
sold to the public . These chemicals are still useful to the County
of Hawaii .
Your Committee finds that the donation of these chemicals and the
traffic marking machine is not an action of major significance which
affects a substantial number of people in this County. Your
Committee , by a vote greater than two-thirds , has amended its Public
Works Committee agenda of May 12 , 1987 to include
Communication No . 1104 as a matter of business .
Pursuant to Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter , your
Committee on Public Works recommends that the Council , on behalf of
the County, accept this donation of about $4,000 worth of chemicals
and a traffic marking machine by Mr . Richa d MacDonald of PCI
Chem-Corp.
