Your Committee on Public Works , to which was referred Resolution
'No . 302-87 , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution No . 302-87 is to support the release of
State funds to expedite the construction of a traffic light system at
the intersection of West Kawili and Kapiolani Streets to improve
vehicular and pedestrian safety .
Your committee is aware of the efforts of the Waiakea High School ,
the Department of Education , and the University of Hawaii at Hilo and
Representative Harvey Tajiri to expedite this project .
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No . 302-87 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
