Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
No . 906 and its attached Bill No . 343 , reports as follows :
Bill 343 proposes to amend the Housing Code relating to mandatory
requirement for electrical service connection when public utility
service is available in the area . Chapter 11 , Article 5 ,
Section 11-43 is being amended to provide for an exception to the
mandatory electrical service connection when a dwelling is supplied
by a alternate power system.
Your Committee on Public Works has reviewed Bill 343 and is in
accord with its purpose .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends passage of Bill No. 343 on
first reading by the County Council .
