Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Communication
-No . 970 and its attached Bill No. 336 , reports as follows :
Bill 336 proposes to amend Chapter 24 , Article 10 , Division 3 ,
Section 24-275 , Schedule 23 , subsection (c) , Kona, of the Hawaii
County Code 1983 by adding a new paragraph authorizing a bus stop on
Kealakaa Street in Kona , during the hours of 7 : 30 a .m. to 8: 30 a .m.
and 1 : 00 p.m. to 3: 00 p.m. on school days . The bus stop will be on
the makai side of Kealakaa Street and begin from a point one hundred
eighty seven feet south of Kumakani Street and extend for a distance
of one hundred fifty feet . •
Your Committee on Public Works has reviewed the recommendations of
the Department of Public Works . Your Committee is also are that
Mr . Rho, Vice Principal of Kealakehe School is in concurrence with
the proposed amendment .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends pa sage of Bill No . 336 on
first reading by the County Council .
