Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred Resolution
'No. 274-87 , reports as follows .
The purpose of Resolution No . 274-87 is to express the support of
the County Council of the State Department of Transportation 's
project to remove and reconstruct the Wailoa River Bridge and to
urge the United States Coast Guard to grant a permit for the project .
Your Committee finds that the construction of a new Wailoa River
Bridge to be in the best interests of the County .
Your Committee on Public Works is in accord with the purpose of
Resolution No. 274-87 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
