Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred
Communications 238, 238 . 2, 238.4 , 727 , and Public Works Committee
Report 37 , all relating to the appointment of members to the
Veterans Cemetery Committee , reports as follows :
On November 3 , 1986 , the Council adopted on second and final
reading, Bill 246 , creating a Veteran 's Advisory Committee to assist
the County in its veterans affairs , including its responsibilities
relating to veterans cemeteries . Its formal creation supplanted the
Veterans Cemetery Committee .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends that the names of all the
nominees to the Veterans Cemetery Committee be returned to the Mayor
for consideration for appointment to the newly cre. ted Veterans
Advisory Committee .
