Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred
Communication 712 and its attached Bill 230, reports as follows :
Bill 230 is an amendment to Chapter 5 of the Hawaii County Code of
1983 relating to the Building Code. It amends Section 5-23 by
increasing the building permit fee charged for commercial buildings .
Your Committee is aware that the proposed building fee increases
have already been anticipated as increased revenue in the FY-87
County Operating Budget . Your Committee on Public Works recommends
the passage of Bill 230 on first reading by . e County Council.
