RESOLUTION NO. 241 13
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR MISCELLANEOUS BABY FURNITURE AND
BEDDING FOR THE CHILD & FAMILY SERVICE—WEST HAWAII DOMESTIC
ABUSE SHELTER.
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is charged with the duty of ensuring
that the laws are faithfully executed and enforced within the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney continues its efforts to attend to the
needs of victims and witnesses and to promote public safety; and
WHEREAS, one of the program objectives of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is
to reduce domestic violence and provide intervention initiatives; and
WHEREAS, the months from December through Febuary is when the Child & Family
Service— West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter cares for the influx of women and children; and
WHEREAS, the Child& Family Service—West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter is in
need of the following items:
• 1 crib with wheels
• 1 crib mattress
• 1 crib mattress waterproof cover
• 2 crib sheets
• 2 crib thermal blankets
• 1 rocking bassinet with wheels
• 2 bassinett pads
• 2 sets of basssinet sheets; and
WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to
the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for the purchase of miscellaneous baby furniture and
bedding for the Child & Family Service—West Hawai`i Domestic Abuse Shelter; now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the
following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk is directed to transmit copies of
this resolution to the Prosecuting Attorney and the Director of Finance, and that the Director of
Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this
resolution.
