RESOLUTION NO. 25 i3
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL
YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR
ONE (1) MULTIFUNCTION COPIER FOR THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other
obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one
fiscal year be approved by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for five (5)
years, for one (1) multifunction copier for the Hawaii Fire Department to be used in the Fire
administration office; and
WHEREAS, the lease for the copier to be replaced recently expired and this copy machine is in
constant need of repair; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I:
1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year lease agreement for
one (1) multifunction copier, for the Hawai'i Fire Department.
2. That sufficient funds will be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the anticipated
obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this copy machine shall be leased for a period of five (5)
years, at a cost of approximately $3,500 per year.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk of the County of Hawaii shall transmit
copies of this resolution to the Office of the Mayor, Hawaii Fire Department, and the Finance
Department.
