Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred
Communication 352, reports as follows :
Communication 352 from the Department of Parks and Recreation,
advises that Dr . Fritz Forbes has offered to donate and install a
flag pole at the Senior Center on Kamana Street pursuant to
Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter , the Council , on behalf
of the County, may accept gifts of donations of property to the
County of Hawaii . Your Committee recognizes the civic and public
spirited benevolence of Dr . Forbes and believes that the flag pole
is truly a fitting donation to the County of Hawaii .
Your Committee on Public Works recommends that the Council of the
County of Hawaii acknowledges and gratefully accepts this donation
of a flag pole from Dr . Forbes . Your Committee further recommends
that a certificate of appreciation be sent from the Council of the
County of Hawaii , to Dr . Forbes in recognition of his civic pride
and public spirited benevolence .
