Your Committee on Public Works , to which was referred Bill 119,
reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill 119 is to authorize parking on the mauka side of
Kahakai Road in an area fronting the Kona Hilton Hotel parking lot
and tennis court.
The Department of Public Works has reviewed this proposal and has no
objections since the roadway at this section widens to approximately
27 feet, and allows sufficient space for motorists to park on one
side of the road .
Your Committee on Public Works, is supportive of this request and
recommend that the Council approve Bill 119 .
