Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred Resolution 109
relating to the County 's standards on overtaking and passing of
school busses , reports as follows:
The purpose of Resolution 109 is to urge public awareness of the new
county wide provisions on the passing and overtaking of school
busses . Beginning January 1 , 1986 , there will be a single
island-wide standard which will prohibit motorists from passing or
overtaking a school bus which is displaying its alternating red
signals . This standard shall be in effect in rural , business and in
residential districts .
Your Committee on Public Works is supportive of Resolution 109 and
recommends its adoption by the County Counc
