Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred Bill 87
amending Chapter 24 of the Hawaii County Code of 1983 , relating to
the Traffic Code, reports as follows:
The purpose of Bill 87 is to establish a mid-block crosswalk fronting
the renovated office complex at 688 Kinoole Street. In establishing
the crosswalk, Bill 86 also adjusts the No Parking Zones on
Kinoole Street to provide for the necessary sight distance on both
sides of the crosswalk.
Your Committee on Public Works, having reviewed the comments of the
Department of Public Works (Comm. 296 ) , concurs with the purpose of
the proposed amendments and recommends passage of Bill 87 on first
reading.
