Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred
'Resolution 68-85 , reports as follows:
Resolution 68-85 recognizes that bureaucracies , in protecting our
environment and the rights of the people , often times establish
overlapping requirements and lengthy processing procedures . The
purpose of this resolution is to recognize this shortcoming and to
request the Administration to review its policies and programs ,
especially in the building permit process for possible areas of
cost-savings and efficiency. In identifying these shortcoming,
Resolution 68-85 suggests areas within the permit processing
procedures where improvements are possible and warrant consideration.
Your Committee on Public Works concurs with the purpose and intent
of Resolution 68-85 and recommends its adoption by the County
Council .
