Your Committee on Public Works, to which was referred'ill 37
entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 24, Article 10 , of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 relating to Traffic Regulations" reports
as follows :
Bill 37 amends Chapter 24, Article 10 , Division 5, Section 24-280 ,
Schedule 28 , subsection (d) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code of 1983
by establishing a new "No parking at anytime" zone on Kaiwi Street ,
on the Kohala side, beginning at Kuakini Highway and extending 400
feet in the mauka direction. This new "No parking at anytime" zone
is being requested by the Department of Public Works in order to
improve the sight distance for vehicles entering Kaiwi Street .
Your Committee on Public Works concurs with th- purpose and intent of
Bill 37 and recommends that it pass first read' n,
