Your Committee on Public Works , to which was referred Bill 30
entitled, "An Ordinance Amending Chapter 24 , Article 10 , of the
Hawaii County Code 1983 relating to Traffic Regulations" reports
as follows:
Bill 30 proposes three amendments .
(1 ) Setting the Speed Limit on Iwalani Street between
Kawailani Street and Puainako Street at 35 mph .
( 2) Implementing a one way traffic pattern on Ululani Street
beginning at Waianuenue Avenue to its terminus at Wailuku
Drive . This traffic shall flow in the Hamakua direction .
( 3) Eliminating the crosswalk on Kilauea Avenue located Puna of
the deceleration lane at the Puainako-Kilauea intersection .
Your Committee has reviewed supporting communications 57 , 66 and 67
and concurs with the recommendation of the departments . Your
Committee , therefore, recommends passage of Bi 1 30 by the County
Council .
