Your Committee on Public Works , to which was referred
Communication 62 , reports as follows:
Communication 62 transmits for consideration and adoption , Bill 20
amending Ordinance No . 524 (adopted October 4 , 1972) , as amended ,
relating to the cost of improvements in "Improvement District
No . 10 : North Kona, Hawaii , " and fixing the portions of the cost to
be assessed against the benefited properties and againsts the owners
thereof respectively and imposing a lien against each lot or parcel
of land assessed according to the assessment in Kona, Hawaii .
The purpose of Bill 20 is to amend the Assessment Roll of the
Improvement District recognizing a two-lot subdivision of the
Foothill Land Corporation property. The Committee has been advised
that the assessments has been prorated and that the total assessment
of the sudivided lots remain the same . Your Committee has also been
advised that the proposed ordinance has been reviewed by the
Corporation Counsel as to form and that the lot owners have
deposited with the County, a sufficient amount to cover the cost of
making this allocation .
Your Committee on Public Works , concurs with the intent and purpose
of Bill 20 and recommends its passage by the Cou • .il .
