Your Committee on Public Works to which was referred
'Resolution 22-85 , reports as follows:
Resolution 22-85 recognizes the need of government to continually
review its policies and programs and identify areas of possible cost
savings and efficiency improvements . Often governments create
diseconomies and develop cumbersome procedures in providing its
programs and service to the public . With critical re-examination,
savings can be generated for use towards improved public safety
programs and more capital improvement programs . Recognizing this ,
Resolution 22-85 requests the administration to review its policies
and programs for any possible area of cost-savings and efficiency
improvements .
Your Committee on Public Works endorses Resolution 22-85 as a Policy
and recommends its adoption by the Council of he County of Hawaii .
