\Vlid <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII * A�" /i•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> 13 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 251 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR"TEEN DATING VIOLENCE PREVENTION <br /> PEER EDUCATION CONFERENCES." <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee on the Status of Women is coordinating "Teen Dating <br /> Violence Prevention Peer Education Conferences"; and <br /> WHEREAS, funds are needed for these conferences in order to increase awareness of the <br /> illegal and harmful social effects of teen-dating violence and to abolish the prevalent acceptance <br /> among teens; and <br /> WHEREAS, conferences previously held in East and West Hawai`i featuring conference <br /> speaker Dr. Jill Murray resulted in overwhelming responses, demonstrating a further need for <br /> educational conferences throughout Hawai`i County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to <br /> the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for"Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer Education <br /> Conferences"; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below: <br /> FUND: GENERAL <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.20 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $5,000 <br /> Comm on Status of Women <br /> 115 Misc. Contract <br /> (Teen Dating Violence Prevention Peer <br /> Education Conferences) <br />
