SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT:
SECTION 24-291.1 - 2 HOUR PARKING METER ZONES
We request the Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 7 (Parking Meter
Zones), Section 24-291 .1, Schedule 39.1 (2 hour parking meter zones) be amended by
revising to read as follows:
Two hour parking meter zones are established upon those streets or portions of streets
described in this schedule upon which the parking of vehicles shall be regulated by
parking meters at the rates of twenty cents per hour or a flat rate for up to two hours
pursuant to section 21 216.01 FIVE CENTS FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES; TEN CENTS
FOR THIRTY MINUTES; AND TWENTY-FIVE CENTS FOR SEVENTY-FIVE
MINUTES:
The intent of this amendment is to update the Hawaii County Code so the meter rates in
the code match the rates posted on the parking meters.
