Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 230-13, reports as follows:
Resolution No. 230-13, transmitted by Finance Director Nancy Crawford, via Communication No. 528
dated November 14, 2013, authorizes the payment of funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one
fiscal year for a multi-year lease for five (5) copy machines for the Hawai`i County Police Department.
The resolution authorizes the Mayor to enter into a five year lease agreement for five (5) copy machines,
each at a cost of approximately $216 per month and $0.0098 per copy.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Pursuant to Section 10-11, Hawai`i County Charter, any contract, lease or other obligation requiring
payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year shall be
made or approved by resolution.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 230-13, and
recommends its adoption.
